Nathilee attended Queen’s College from 1979 to1986 and was a member of Nobbs “L” house. She received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Adelphi University and completed her doctoral internship at Columbia University Medical Center. She has expertise in treating anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma and posttraumatic stress symptoms. She has volunteered at a Rape Crisis Hotline and treated survivors of Intimate Partner Violence at the Women’s Health Project, The Trauma and Addictions Program at City College of New York and at the Posttraumatic Stress Research Program at New York University Medical Center. She has served as a Psychologist treating survivors of 9/11 at the World Trade Center Health Program and the United States Army treating soldiers returning from combat in Iraq and Afghanistan. She has also assessed veterans of the Vietnam War for posttraumatic symptoms. She represented Guyana at the junior level in badminton at CAREBACO (1984-1986) and together with partner Sinikka Wahab brought home the girl’s doubles championship trophy.
