Doret attended Bishop’s High School, and was among the first batch of girls transferred to Queen’s College in 1975. She is a Registered Professional Nurse with more than 29 years of experience in Nursing Service. Her major concentrations have been provision of counseling to individuals and families, and Nursing Leadership. She is passionate about all aspects of Community Health. Doret started her career in Nursing in 1984 at Interfaith Medical Center School of Nursing and New York City Technical College concurrently, where she earned an Associate Degree in Applied Sciences and graduated as a Registered Nurse. She has since pursued Higher Education at University of Phoenix and has earned Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Nursing. In addition she holds a Master of Health Administration degree.  She is currently in pursuit of a Doctoral Degree.


Doret has held various positions in the industry ranging from Staff Nurse to Director of Nursing Services in Behavioral Health, however she is never far removed from being intimately involved with the populations she serves. From facilitating adult and child care services for substance abusing families to ensuring safety in the care of the elderly and all in between, her love and compassion are clearly evident. She is currently employed as a Regional Manager with concentration in Elder Care, and is Director of Nursing Services at START Treatment and Recovery Centers, New York.
